Coconut Apricot Wax: Why We Chose it for Our Candles

I've always been a candle lover.  To me, candles make a space more inviting, and a scented candle has a way of renewing a space.

As my love for candles grew, I became curious about what was in them, and I wasn't pleased.

Some mass-produced candles contain all kinds of toxins.  In fact, some are just downright terrible for you.  I wanted to ensure I wasn't burning something that would cause harm to me and my family.

So, that's exactly how my passion for candlemaking began.  With much research, and trial and error, I created a candle that I can burn in my home with confidence.

Most mass-produced candles are made with paraffin wax.  While paraffin wax has superior scent throw, paraffin is derived from petroleum and is not environmentally friendly or sustainable.

While soy wax is becoming more popular and is a cheaper wax option, it doesn't have ideal burn qualities as the wax has difficulty throwing the scent of a candle.

The wax that we use for our wood wick candles is a blend of natural coconut and apricot oils.  You won't find this type of candle in big box stores!  It burns clean, has excellent scent throw, and a creamy white appearance (we do not dye our candles!). Sure, it’s a bit more expensive in comparison to other waxes, but it’s worth it!

Every single one of our candles are made in small batches, and hand-poured with love, peace, and soul!

Our candles are also free of phthalates so you can buy and burn our candles with confidence.  Light one up while listening to your favorite playlist, of course!
